As the world continues to fight against the global epidemic that is coronavirus (or the “Chinese Virus”, as the president of the United States calls it smh), Young Thug is sharing his own theory behind the COVID-19 outbreak: the Holy Bible.
The rapper took to his Instagram account in the wee hours of Tuesday morning (March 17) to share a picture of a passage excerpt from the Second Chronicles with the caption “Coronavirus!!”. In the photo, verses 13 and 14 are highlighted, which reads, “Whenever I hold back the rain or send locusts to eat up the crops or send an epidemic on my people, if they pray to me and repent and turn away from the evil they have been doing, then I will hear them in heaven, forgive their sins, and make their land prosperous again.”
To stress the realness of the scripture, the text is circled in red with the words “Pay Attention Children” around it.

Over the weekend, singer-songwriter Keri Hilson shared her own theory about coronavirus on her Instagram and Twitter accounts and how the new 5G mobile network is a cause. “People have been trying to warn us about 5G for YEARS. Petitions, organizations, studies…what we’re going thru is the affects [sic] of radiation. 5G launched in CHINA. Nov 1, 2019. People dropped dead.”
Since then, Hilson has deleted her posts and numerous outlets like Full Fact have debunked the myth…for now.
