In addition to the standard single releases for promo rollout, he decided to fully embody the part… skin color and all. He spent the day as “Connor Smallnut” (lol), presumably his white alter ego. Of course it got some of his followers in a tizzy. Some knew that it was meant in good humor, but others accused him of being a hypocrite (because Mariah Carey is his wife) and thinking “white face” is okay. He took to Twitter to chime in on the discussion, play into the outrage and ultimately tell people to chill out.
