Matt Damon has spoken on Ben Affleck's back tattoo, and his reaction is perfect.

Never was there a stronger and more long-lasting Hollywood bromance than that of Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. The two have been acting together since the 90's but their friendship goes back even further. Damon has revealed in the past that the actors have been buddies since Damon was 10 years old and Affleck was just eight.

“I’ve known him for 35 years, and we grew up together,” Damon said once in an interview while promoting "Jason Bourne" in 2016. “We were both in love with the same thing – acting and filmmaking. I think we fed on each other’s obsession during really formative, important years and that bonded us for life."

It's more than clear that these two actor pals have each other's backs during most circumstances but during Damon's recent guest spot on Comedy Central's The Daily Show, Damon proved that when it comes to topics such as massive back tattoos, he doesn't necessarily have, or know how to have, his friend's back. Host Trevor Noah was insistent on discussing Affleck's tattoo of a rising phoenix which takes up almost the entirety of his back.

"I don't believe a friend would allow a friend to get a back tattoo of a colorful dragon," Noah said to Damon in a joking manner. "Have you seen this tattoo?"

"Of course, yeah, yeah, yeah," Damon stammered, clearly at a loss for words. "I mean, uh, it's not — it's not one man's job to tell another man what he can do to his back." Damon went on to say that he supported his best bud in all of his "artistic expression" before bursting out with a chuckle.

It seems that if Affleck is looking for back tattoo support, it is Damon who he should lean on and not his famous exes. Jennifer Lopez of previous "Bennifer" fame was asked her thoughts and she held back nothing, stating, "It's awful!" and added that it had "too many colors." Affleck's ex-wife and the mother of his three children, Jennifer Garner gave a comment that can be taken a couple different ways but we think we know exactly what she meant when she said, "Bless his heart."
