Saturday Night Live is one of the most iconic television shows of all time. The sketch comedy series has been a launching pad for some of the biggest names in Hollywood, such as Eddie Murphy, Jimmy Fallon, Seth Myers, Chris Rock and many more. The legendary show is created by Lorne Michaels and first premiered on October 11, 1975 on NBC. The series was an instant success and is now one of the longest running television shows of all time. The series has been generally dominated by men. However, many female cast members found a way to shine through and put the spotlight on themselves.
